It was 21 days of believing in myself, trusting the process, pushing myself, not giving into temptation, and determination to succeed!
I completed my first round of Shift Shop yesterday! To say I am proud is an understatement. I came to this Beachbody program ready to go All In. I felt lost and unsure of my potential when I started. After several months of lows and weight gain and self–doubt, I had to jump into this program and choose to not listen to my FEAR.
Week 3 provided new challenges. The workouts were 10 minutes longer, the carbs were removed completely, and it would involve me digging deep to stay focused to finish.
I was able to wake up earlier, rearrange my schedule so it worked best for me, and put my health and happiness as a priority. This may be the biggest lesson of all.
There were days that I didn’t want to workout, meals that I wanted to cheat on, and moments of doubt… My accountability group helped to keep me going. I can’t stress enough how much having other people, friends, doing the work with me, looking to me for inspiration, TRULY inspired me in those moments that I wanted to give up.
The workouts themselves were similar to the other 2 weeks, just longer in length, and some moves were progressed. The format of Cardio one day and then Strength the next day continued and I really enjoy that schedule. The Ab workout was added 2 times during the week.
The food was still really tasty! I didn’t miss carbs as much as I thought I would! Favorite meal, Marinated Summer Veggies with Chicken Sausage!
OK, the moment you have been waiting for…. Results:
I lost 9lbs. As you can see it came off of me a little everywhere. I was most excited to see my face and abs change. It is a transformation not just equal to the number on the scale. My clothes fit better too.
Mentally, I feel more confident, I have more energy, and I have a level of focus and determination I haven’t had in a long time.
My passion for coaching has also skyrocketed! I am dedicated to helping others reach their weight loss and fitness goals. I have a purpose worth fighting for.
I was in a dark place a couple of months ago. I almost quit. I almost thought that I wasn’t good enough. Why couldn’t I just get my act together? Why was I such a train wreck? What was making me this way?
Answer: Fear, doubt, laziness, and being unhealthy was making me unhappy.
I had to CHOOSE to change. No one was going to do the work for me! I had to be my own superhero! I had to rescue myself…. with the support of my Fitfam and family!
I’m so Happy I did. I can tell you one thing, even if I hadn’t lost a single pound, I would still be proud and happy with my results because I just FEEL better and I am a heck of a lot happier!
